Matt Ragsdell, D.O. is Board Certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopedics and Sports Medicine. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology, with a minor in Chemistry, from Evangel University Springfield, MO. He graduated from Kansas City University College of Osteopathic Medicine, then completed his residency at Michigan State University. Dr. Ragsdell furthered his training with a Fellowship in Sports Medicine and Shoulder Reconstruction with Kyle Anderson, M.D., team doctor for the Detroit Lions at the William Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak, Michigan.
Dr. Ragsdell specializes in General Orthopedics, Joint Reconstruction and Sports Medicine. He performs both non-surgical and surgical procedures. Specialties include: Minimally Invasive Arthroscopic Rotator Cuff Repair, SLAP Repair, Meniscus Injuries, ACL Injuries, Wrist Injuries, Elbow Injuries, Ankle Injuries, Hip Injuries, Shoulder Arthroplasty and Total Joint Replacement.
Dr. Ragsdell provides outstanding care for sports related injuries of high school, college, professional and recreational athletes. He is an active member of the American Osteopathic Association, American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics. He has authored numerous publications and presented research at national and international meetings. Dr. Ragsdell enjoys spending his free time with his wife and family. He is active in civic and community events and is a coach for local little league and soccer teams.
