Jesse L Stem, M.D. is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic spine surgeon. He is a graduate of West Virginia University School of Medicine. He completed his internship and Orthopedic Surgical Residency at Georgia Baptist Atlanta Medical Center, followed by a Spine fellowship at the University of Louisville, Kentucky. He has served on numerous hospital committees and was an assistant professor at Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine. Additionally, he was an attending physician at Virginia Tech Carilion Spine and Scoliosis Fellowship where he served an integral role in training young spine surgeons. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) and North American Spine Society.

Dr. Stem has over 20 years’ experience in all aspects of surgical and non-surgical treatments for spine injuries and conditions. Consultations are available for patients who are experiencing neck or back pain, considering spine surgery for the first time or seeking a second opinion. He uses a conservative and individualized approach to ensure the best results for each patient.
