Daniel Perez, D.P.M., AACFAS
Doctor of Podiatric Medicine
Dr. Perez is a graduate of Barry University College of Podiatric Medicine Miami Shores, Florida where he obtained his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) Degree. He completed a three-year Podiatric Medicine & Reconstructive Rearfoot and Ankle Residency (PMSR-RRA) at Bethesda Hospital East in Boynton Beach, Florida where he served as chief resident. His residency training included rearfoot and ankle reconstructive surgery, total joint replacement, peripheral nerve surgery, foot and ankle trauma, charcot reconstruction and diabetic limb salvage.
During his residency he completed numerous additional surgical training courses with an emphasis on adult and pediatric reconstructive surgery, external fixation, ankle arthroscopy, lower extremity trauma and diabetic limb salvage. His training includes peripheral nerve surgery of the lower extremity; commonly used to alleviate peripheral neuropathy or nerve entrapment of the lower extremity.
After residency Dr. Perez completed a one-year surgical fellowship at the Orthopedic Center of Florida in Fort Myers. Dr. Perez holds additional certifications in minimally invasive surgery and total ankle replacement. Dr. Perez has authored numerous research publications and is frequently invited to lecture at national meetings. Dr. Perez currently performs total ankle replacement using preoperative computerized tomography (CT) planning and custom instrumentation to provide optimal results individualized to each patient.
Dr. Perez is on staff at Largo Medical Center, Palms of Pasadena, St Anthony’s, Northside Hospital, Bayfront, Mease Countryside, Mease Dunedin and Advent Health North Pinellas.
